Can we stream the modbro cast?

I also have the same issue.  Mobdro supports Chromecast now. 

Will I be able to also stream content to my EZCast?

I do not want to mirror or use Mirracast

Currently, you can only try to use Mobdro with EZCast via mirroring. On the other hand, you can try to ask Mobdro to support AirPlay/DLNA (or even EZCast) since EZCast is compatible with AirPlay/DLNA. Hope this help.
